SAMPA-Transskribierungscodes

Das Problem besteht darin dass verschiedene ( Phoneme ) mit gleichen Buchstaben (aber auch umgekehrt) werden. Beispielsweise wird das „Y“ mal wie „J“ gesprochen (z.B. im Wort „Yacht“) oder ein „I“ wie im Wort „Kay“. Oder „o“ werden zwei Varianten unterschieden ein sog. O“ wie z. B. im Wort „Sonne“ das „geschlossene o“ im Wort „Mond“ gegenüber Will man diese Unterschiede in einer Lautschrift so benötigt man beispielsweise zwei Zeichen für verschiedenen Versionen des Buchstabens „o“. Bei der wird versucht den verschiedenen Phoneme entsprechende ASCII-Zeichenkombinationen

Anmerkung : It is (specially in Spanisch and common use to represent the alveolar trill [rr] and the alveolar flap with [r]. Spanisch too [jj] is used to represent palatal fricative against the semivowel [j]. It been proposed to use [4] for the flap in which case [r] can be to represent the trill (as its equivalent the IPA system) and [j\] for the fricative keeping in this way the policy using one letter per one IPA symbol backslash is used to generate alternative symbols).
