Synopsis A comprehensive introduction to quantum field theory, one that develops the subject systematically from its beginnings. Part one covers essental physics techniques that every graduate student should learn, including Feynman diagrams and quantum electrodynamics, using modern techniques and recent experimental research. Part two focuses on theoretical physics covering the behaviour of quantum field theory in short distances and the interrelation of this behaviour with the basic symmedtries of the theories. Part three applies the formalism of parts one and two to non-Abelian gauge theories, including present theories of the strong and weak interactions of elementary particles.
