Kurzbeschreibung Based on the description of cerebral vascular anatomy given in the third volume of the study of surgical neuroangiography the authors present their clinical experience in the treatment of tumors and lesion of the brain. Special attention is given to the topics of arteriovenous fistulas, arteriovenous malformation, angioarchitecture as well as to indication and objectives of treatment. A careful description of all technical aspects like patient preparation catheters, embolic agents, complications and postoperative care will permit the reader to perform all therapeutic procedures. Synopsis Based on the principles of functional vascular anatomy and endovascular treatment described in the first three volumes of "Surgical Neuroangiography", Volumes 4 and 5 complete the series. This volume is geared to track the vascular abnormalities of the brain, while Vol 5 describes the vascular abnormalities of the spine and spinal cord.
