Ich habe hier den zweiten Teil meiner texte. Wäre nett, wenn ihr mir nochmal helfen könntet. Wink

Willoughby:
John Willoughby is a charming and good-looking young man. First he has the role of the romantic rescuer of Marianne. But then he leaves her without telling her the reasons for his escape. It turned out that Willoughby's affections had been long engaged with a woman named Miss Grey with fifty thousand pounds. The reason for W. to marry someone else is that he had an affair with a fifteen year old girl. Willoughby abandoned her and left her with their child. When his aunt was informed of this scandal she disinherited Willoughby. So he had to escape to London to marry a rich girl. This was the only chance for him to have a good life.
But nevertheless Willoughby feels miserable of what he did. He had married Miss Grey without love, and she would make him unhappy the rest of his life because he truly loves Marianne.

Brandon:
Brandon is a close friend of Sir John Middleton. In his youth, Brandon had fallen in love with a poor girl, but his family didn’t want him to marry her. So he was sent into the military to be away from her, and while he was gone, the girl was treated very bad and died. Marianne reminds him of the girl from used to and so he falls in love with Marianne at first sight.
But although Marianne ignores him, he is a very honorable and helpful friend to the Dashwoods. He just wants the best for Marianne. At the end he rescues her and she finally also falls in love with him and they marry.

Edward:
Edward is a shy and reserved man. He falls in love with Elinor. But years before meeting the Dashwoods, he became engaged to Lucy Steele, the niece of his tutor. The engagement has been kept secret owing to the expectation that his family would not allow him marrying Miss Steele. That is the reason why he can’t be together with Elinor. He wants to keep his promise because he is an honorable man. But at the end the truth comes out and Elinor and Edward can marry.

squeezy14 hat folgendes geschrieben:
After her father has died ( her father's death) she does not show any sadness but only considerates her family and cares for them.

After her father died. Or had died, if past tense in the following. Dying is a quite temporary process.

squeezy hat folgendes geschrieben:
She conceals(represses) her feelings and so she seems cold-hearted for some people, but she just tries to protect herself.

seems (to be) cold-hearted to some people.
To feel cold-hearted / sorry / whatever has a different meaning.

After Mr. Dashwood has passed away Marianne expresses [...]

After Mr D passed away, again. Present perfect only for things that started in the past and are still going on.

Maybe there are a few more liitle mistakes.
I wrote it in present tense because is summary of a film

Willoughby:
John Willoughby is a charming and good-looking young man. First he plays the role of the Marianne's "knight in shining amour" ("white knight" ) .
But then he leaves her without telling her the reasons for his escape. It turns out that Willoughby's affections has focused on a woman named Miss Grey for a long time who owns fifty thousand pounds. The reason for W. to marry someone else is that he has been(had) an affair with a fifteen year old girl. So Willoughby abandons Marianne and leaves her with her child. After his aunt has been informed of this scandal she disinherits Willoughby and so he escapes to London in order to marry a rich girl. This is the only chance for him to have a good(care-free) life.
But nevertheless Willoughby feels miserable about what he did. He married Miss Grey without love and she will make him unhappy for the rest of his life because he truly loves Marianne.(Marianne is his truly love)

Brandon:
Brandon is a close friend of Sir John Middleton. In his youth,(boyhood) Brandon falls in love with a poor girl but his family doesn't want him to marry her. So he is sent to the military services(army) to keep him away from her. And while he is away, the girl is treated very bad and dies after all . Marianne reminds him of the girl from used to ?( was willst du sagen?) and so he falls in love with Marianne at first sight.
But although Marianne ignores him, he is a very honorable and helpful friend of the Dashwoods. He just wants the best for Marianne. At the end he saves her and finally she falls in love with him,too and they marry.

Edward:
Edward is a shy and reserved man. He falls in love with Elinor. But years before meeting the Dashwoods, he became engaged to Lucy Steele, the niece of his tutor. The engagement has been kept secret (all the time) owing to the expectation that his family would not allow him to mary Miss Steele. That is the reason why he can’t be together with Elinor. He wants to keep his promise because he is an honorable man. But at the end the truth comes out and Elinor and Edward can marry.

Hey,hier sind meine letzten zwei texte. Es wäre lieb, wenn ihr nochmal einen Blick darüber werfen könntet Wink
Vielen Dank aber nochmal für die Hilfe bei den anderen Texten!!

Sense and sensibility are two words which seem to describe an opposite position. It is an adaption title for this film. These opposed positions fit from various different points of view. It relates for example to the different situations of women and men in the story. It does not show how men wanted them to be or what their environment expected them to be in that time.
The film also connects the views of men and women to the opposing theme of sense and sensibility; their differences and their similarities. Generally women are linked to sense and men to sensibility.
But we think the most important aspect, for which this film is called this way, are the different characters of Marianne and Elinor. Elinor represents sense and Marianne sensibility.
Elinor is the one, who seems to be always logical, unemotional and cool-hearted and who does not show to others what is going on inside of her. To the inside she has feelings of love, hate and other strong emotions. This person inside is very sensitive.
But her sister Marianne seems to be the opposite. She shows her love and her emotional feelings. She cries openly when she is sad and she laughs just as openly when she is happy. But maybe she really is the silent one inside, who has not got the self-confidence other people think she might have.
On the whole, the story gives us the message, that love is necessary in this world and in her way Jane Austen criticizes society a hundred years ago and in some way also society of today. The message could be even for now and today, that we have to take care of each other and have to keep learning how to pay attention to the hidden insides of our fellow human beings around us.

the other one:

Description of the scene:

It takes place in London in Mrs. Jennings house after Marianne was rejected by Willoughby. Then Lucy visits Elinor and tells her about the meeting with Edward’s mother. Elinor is very upset because she loves Edward and actually he also loves her but he has given his promise to Lucy that he would marry her and wants to keep it. Suddenly Edward appears. Elinor sees him after a long time again, so she is very nervous and would like to ask him why he did that but she can’t because of Lucy who is also in the room. She doesn’t know about the real feelings of them, she still thinks that they are only close friends. No one else knows about the engagement of Lucy and Edward besides Elinor. Also Marianne doesn’t know about that and still thinks that Elinor and Edward could come together and she makes everything worse for Elinor with her questions to Edward.
