Describe the following line graph.

Development of energy cosumption (1970-2020), in Quadrillion Btu (British thermal units)

My try:

The line graph describes the devolopement of energy comsuption in industrial countries and developing countries between 1970 and 2020. The Unit is given in Quadrillion BTU.
The time scale is on the horizontal line and the unit scale runs vertically.

Between 1970 and 1980 the consumption of energy increased slightly in industrialized coutries by about 10 units. From 1980 to 1985 the cosumption decreased a little. Since 1985 the energy consumption have risen constantly.

The energy consumption in developing countries rose slowly, between 1970 and 1980. Since 1990 the developing countries energy consumption has grown significantly.
There seems that the two lines will meet each oter after 2020.

It will be kind, if someone can give me hints for grammar mistakes, wrong words or possibility of variations

I would bring this energy consumption graph in contrast to globalisation as that is the major reason why the energy consumption in developing countries went up.

The projection given here does not exactly depict that for instance the population had risen in the respective countries. Therefore im certain the industrial revolution plays a big role in this major jump in energy consumption. The societies in the industrialized countries turn into high-tech based post-industrial countries while the developing countries gradually leave their agriculture state and change into a industrialized state and therefore the energy consumption is gradually rising.

Ich geh mal davon aus das dieser Grafik ein Text vorausging , und die Unit entweder von Globalisierung , Industrieller Revolution oder sowas in der Richtung handelt.

Man könnte sicherlich auch noch das Atomenergie Programm einflechten , vielleicht die Automatisierung der Industrie, High Technology in der Gesellschaft und und

Wenn du das in der Klausur so darlegst wirds dafür wohl eher wenig Punkte geben , und was du beherzigen solltest die Prüfungen tendieren mittlerweile zu "material based composition" , wo du evtl. nen Text so einen Graph und vielleicht noch eine Karrikatur verflechten musst.
