On 9 September 2009 BAM will open its Test Site Technical Safety in Horstwalde to visitors! We will demonstrate fire and explosion tests, explain test equipment and present continuative ideas about tests into technical safety. You can already visit us at our website. You can find information about interesting events and tests at our test site throughout the year at http://www.bam.de/365_places.html. The BAM Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing has the most efficient site for investigating technical safety in Europe. A drop test facility is among the test facilities, which at 36 metres high is the highest in the world. The BAM entered the competition with its Test Site Technical Safety. We have managed to impress the jury and have been distinguished with the title "Selected Landmark 2009" from among more than 2,000 applications.
