Health and Health Care: How Can Business Schools Play a Part?

15.07.2014 - (idw) Universität Mannheim

Council on Business & Society: White Paper of the Tokyo Conference is now available for download June 15, 2014: In Spring 2014, the Council on Business & Society organized its second International Forum, which took place in Tokyo at the Keio Business School. The forum welcomed approximately 250 members of the corporate world, researchers, NGO representatives, politicians and students who came together to discuss issues related to health and health care management such as why corporate health management is important, how to promote employee health, what are the challenges of the health care industry in an ageing society as well as innovation and technology in health care.

Do you think good employee health is an inherent part of good business? What role, if any, do you think business schools should play in creating health care best practices? Is there even such a thing as a global best practice when it comes to healthcare? These are just some examples of questions, a White Paper, summarizing the most important insights from the Tokyo Forum, strives to answer. It includes an executive summary, visual media, key takeaways and participant views of everything that took place during the forum.

The White Paper is available here:

The Council on Business & Society
