TIB and University of Freiburg win Best Poster Award at iPRES 201414.10.2014 - (idw) Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB)
Jury confers award on poster portraying the emulation of CD collections
Together with Klaus Rechert (University of Freiburg), Michelle Lindlar and Thomas Bähr, both employees of the German National Library of Science and Technology (TIB), have won the Best Poster Award at iPRES 2014 International Conference on Preservation of Digital Objects), the most important international conference on digital preservation. The poster entitled Functional Access to Electronic Media Collections using Emulation-as-a-Service illustrating the emulation of CD collections particularly impressed the jury.
The TIB (National Library of Science and Technology) is the national library for technology, architecture, chemistry, computer sciences, mathematics and physics in Germany. With its unique collection of technical and scientific literature in paper and digital form, it is the worlds largest library of its kind. The TIB conducts numerous research and development projects on digital libraries and is the leading facility of the technical and natural science information infrastructure in Germany.
